The Quinayas family produces coffee in geographic and cultural isolation from much of the specialty coffee that comes out of Huila. We are pleased to hear that they have been adaptive to implementing organic farming methods such as shade tree management and creating organic fertilizers and fungicides using byproducts of the farm combined with micronutrient rich mountain soil. This not only increase yields, but also reduces their costs and dependency on chemical fertilizers. Farmed at 1850 masl, in the township of Alto del Obispo, San Agustin.
